The National Organic Program – NOP Certification means that the organic product complies with the regulation on production and marketing of organic food products as set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture.


The Canadian Organic Regime Certificate of Conformity – COR Certification is granted on meeting the Canadian Regulations for Organic Products.

Products are free from GMOs Free in compliance with Reg. (EC) 1829/2003 and 1830/2003 and subsequent amendments.

834 CE

The 834/07 CE Regulation confirms that the products are obtained from organic farming according to European standards.

The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points – HACCP guarantees that BALSAM S.r.l applies a health and hygiene self-monitoring system with regards to food safety.


The PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) logo guarantees that the products have been produced OR processed OR prepared in the designated geographical area. At least one stage of production must be carried out in that area. Unlike PDO products, the raw materials may come from another region.
